Fin and I took a road trip to Richmond this weekend to see Manyd, BrYan, and Beth, our first overnight trip since getting back from China. It went really well. We got to see Eugene and Winnie briefly (we were running late) and they gave Fin a great bath/pool toy that she enjoyed immensely in the kiddie pool. We also got to visit with Fonda, Drew and Natalie. Natalie came home to the States from China in the spring and she has a pool in the backyard so, when you see this video I like to call, "Chinese Water Torture", keep in mind it isn't as bad as it looks.
Pictures are of Natalie (laughing in swimsuit), Beth (the baby), the older girls checking out the baby's entrance to the pool, Fin in her new swimsuit, Fin and Natalie in the pool, and Beth and Fin checking each other out.
It was pretty amazing to look at these little girls together. Natalie and Fin would never have met in China, but now they will be friends in America. Beth and Fin are continuing a grand tradition in our families. Mandy and I grew up together and have known each other since birth... literally! Our moms were pregnant together. It was pretty incredible to see them playing together as the next generation.
