Fin has played alot this weekend. Monday, she played with Grandma and Grandpa after the bad storms cleared. They went to the Norfolk Botantical Gardens which has a new 3-acre children play area with lots of water spouts. She pretty much wore them out. They left on Tuesday and took their Rusity cat with them. Fin has Rusity's picture next to her bed and she kisses him at night. She has a picture of our family, too. We don't get kisses. Tuesday, she played with Brandon and Mr. Pat while Nancy and I went to see Aunt Kate. When we drove up, we sort of expected to see Brandon and Mr. Pat tied up or something, then Fin came running around the side of Nancy's car soaking wet and in her underwear. She and Brandon were "washing" the car... that Mr. Pat had freshly washed. Fin didn't improve upon it. Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday during the day, she played with Saul who has been sitting her for the past 2 weeks. She was very mean to him but he stuck with it and today when I went to get lunch, she gave me a perfunctory wave before grabbing him and going back up the stairs. He finally won her over! Tomorrow she is spending the day at the beach with Lorna. They both love the beach and Lorna is a 4-year-old teacher, so I am thinking this will be a great day for her. This will be a our first weekend in a long time and we need to clean the condo and I need to work on thank you notes. For those of you out there who gave us one of these wonderful gifts, your thank you wasn't lost in the mail, only in the black hole of time that has become my free time!
